The name "Santa Ana River Brewing" pays homage to the Santa Ana River, a significant landmark in Southern California with a history spanning over 10,000 years. The founders draw inspiration from the river's impact on local culture and prosperity, hoping to leave a similar mark on the craft beer scene in Orange County.

Geoff Brand and Mike Miller formed the concept for Santa Ana River Brewing to craft hop-forward ales in the great tradition of West Coast brewing. The ultimate goal is to offer unique and idiosyncratic takes on classic styles. 

We love hops. We are constantly searching for the greatest examples of hoppy beers to enjoy and eventually find ourselves immersed in the journey to brew some of our own hop bombs. 

Being natives of Southern California, we luckily have been surrounded by legendary breweries and avid craft brew fans in all directions.

Santa Ana River Brewing offers a diverse selection of beers that cater to various palates. Some highlights from their current lineup include:

• Aqua Del Rio: A refreshing Mexican-style lager (5% ABV).
• Hey Mr. Nelson: A double dry-hopped West Coast IPA featuring 100% Nelson hops (6.8% ABV).
• More Hops Than Brains: A West Coast double IPA with Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe hops (8.2% ABV), which was a runner-up in the 2022 Alpha King competition.
• Saigon Stout: A Vietnamese coffee milk stout (7% ABV) that has garnered praise even from stout skeptics.

The brewery also features rotating cask ales and regularly introduces new brews, ensuring there's always something exciting for patrons to try.

Atmosphere and Community

The venue has pinball machines, enhancing the laid-back atmosphere where friends can gather over drinks and games. While primarily an adult space, the brewery welcomes families during certain hours when food trucks are present.
