Santa Ana Water Tower
Orange County drivers on the I-5 know the sight well. Built in 1928, the historic Santa Ana water tower stands 153 feet tall and was designed to hold 1 million gallons of water. At the time it was built, the elevated tank supplied more than enough water for the 30,000 residents of Santa Ana. About 85 years later, the city’s population is more than ten times that number, and the tower is still used to supply 800,000 gallons of water to the area.
